At its Bloomin Organic, we are constantly striving to expand our capacity to provide fresh, organic produce to food banks and those in need in Dover. Discover our exciting new project and how it will help us achieve even more.

Our latest venture: The polytunnel project

Building for a greener future

We are thrilled to announce our latest project: a new polytunnel! We've received a sturdy frame, measuring 4 meters wide and 10 meters long, and are actively sourcing the appropriate covering. Our team is already preparing the grow area inside by laying cardboard and compost, ensuring a rich environment for future harvests. This expansion will significantly boost our ability to provide essential organic produce.

Harvesting for our community

The polytunnel is a vital addition for its Bloomin Organic because it allows us to cultivate crops like tomatoes, peppers, and melons. These specific vegetables are in high demand and can be difficult to grow consistently outdoors in the UK climate. By providing a controlled environment, we can ensure a steady supply of fresh, nutrient-rich produce for food banks and families in Dover, directly supporting health and well-being in our community.

Future opportunities to get involved

While we are incredibly grateful for your interest in supporting our polytunnel project, we are currently in the process of securing our charity registration documents. Once this is complete, we will be able to welcome volunteers and accept donations. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for updates on how you can contribute to its Bloomin Organic's mission to provide organic, locally grown produce to those in need in Dover.
